Artists

Nobuko Watanabe
Nobuko Watanabe, originally a pianist, transitioned to art after encountering the "Gutai Art Association." Watanabe's works blend elements of music and painting, exploring color, shape, and space.

For nearly 50 years, Watanabe has developed a unique style using cloth on wooden frames to create dimensional artworks. Based in Dusseldorf and Osaka, Watanabe has gained international acclaim with exhibitions across Europe and Asia.

Watanabe's pieces feature vibrant color contrasts and a mix of straight lines and soft curves. The latest exhibition focuses on white and black tones, departing from the artist's usual colorful palette. In a space inspired by the piano-inspired expression "White and Black," visitors can explore rhythmic and harmonious creations.
