As part of its corporate sponsorship activities, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company holds a portion of the award-winning works from the contemporary art exhibition 'VOCA (Vision of Contemporary Art) Exhibition' in its collection, which is displayed at the Dai-ichi Life Gallery/lobby. Additionally, several times a year, individual exhibitions of artists who received awards at the VOCA Exhibition are organized, providing a platform for the artists to present their work and offering the general audience a space for contemporary art appreciation.

This time, the exhibition will feature Nozomi Suzuki, the recipient of the VOCA Encouragement Award at the 'VOCA Exhibition 2016.'

Suzuki perceives the latent images that can be found in things through various phenomena of light as the 'memory of things' and attempts to materialize them through the principles of photography. The title of this exhibition, 'Words of Light,' is derived from one of the phrases used by W. H. Fox Talbot to describe the relationship between photography and the nature that produces it, before images created by light were referred to as 'photography.' In this exhibition, a series of works visualizing the phenomenon of small hole projection (the principle of the camera obscura) occurring in everyday life is presented, including early works.
