This exhibition will focus on works that have been recently donated, including pieces connected to the museum's founder, Kihachiro Okura, and his successor, Kishichiro Okura. Featured items include a superb bamboo flower vase by woodcarving craftsman Hanko Kiuchi, who was supported by the Okura family and worked on the restoration of Shosoin treasures, a wood-inlay obi clasp by his son Shoko, modern paintings associated with Kishichiro that have been on long-term loan, and profound Bizen ware by ceramic artist Togaku Mori, who aimed to recreate ancient Bizen ware.
