Park Sung Wook
Park Sung Wook says that he was attracted to dum-bong powder blue, which was produced mainly during the Yi Dynasty and disappeared when white porcelain was introduced in the 16th century, because of the momentary beauty created when red clay meets white clay and the honesty with which one's hand gestures become a pattern even without any decoration. As he continued to use this technique, the theme of "relationship," in which different materials pursue their essence in conflict and harmony, became his theme, and the resulting piece, "Kata," is a representative work consisting of a series of small powdered blue ceramic shards. His work is modern and nostalgic and contains a narrative of time and space, past and present.
