Photo Exhibition - Audrey Hepburn

Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art
Finished
Audrey Hepburn (1929-1993) burst onto the silver screen in 1953 with "Roman Holiday," for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. Subsequent films such as "Sabrina" "Breakfast at Tiffany's," and "My Fair Lady" brought her immense popularity and a solid reputation as an actress. Hepburn won an Academy Award as well as a Golden Globe and a British Academy Film Award for her film work, and at the time of her death, she had won a Grammy and an Emmy Award. Her slim figure, large eyes, and long legs transformed the image of actresses up to that time, and she became famous not only for her work in films but also as a fashion icon of her era.

Audrey passed away in 1993, 30 years ago, but her image is still firmly etched in people's minds, and her mischievous, fairy-like beauty has not lost its luster. Hepburn was inducted into the International Best Dressed Women's Hall of Fame and is still revered in the fashion world today. Voted "The Most Beautiful Woman in History" and "The Most Beautiful Woman of the 20th Century," Hepburn has inspired the fashion world throughout her life and continues to be a favorite of today's women.

This exhibition will be organized around the themes of fashion, film, and personal life. With the full cooperation of MPTV, Inc. of California, the exhibition will feature photographs by top Hollywood photographers from the company's collection of approximately 1,500 of Audrey's photographs.
