This exhibition will present and screen a selection of works created by graduates and faculty members of the Department of Imaging and Media Arts and Sciences of Nagoya Gakugei University, which stand up from "records" of specific places and situations or from personal “memories." "Landscape" in the title of this exhibition includes not only the landscape that unfolds before the eyes but also imaginary and memorable images such as mental landscapes. The Department of Imaging and Media Studies has traced the history of these images and has produced a diverse range of graduates through research and education in the audiovisual field in general, not limited to the visual arts. This exhibition will examine the relationship between visual media and recording/memory through a variety of expressive techniques with four graduates in the fields of contemporary art, film/animation, and photography.
