Rikako Kawauchi creates works that traverse various media, including drawing, painting, wire, neon tubes, resin, and marble, with a focus on the theme of the uncertain and ambiguous connections between the body and mind, starting from an interest in food. In this exhibition, Kawauchi explores the concept of a "picnic," an experience where people sit at the same level, share food without disparity, and enjoy meals in a defenseless state, exposing both body and mind while adapting to the natural environment. This is examined from the perspectives of culture, history, and social hierarchy, shedding light on the definition and act of picnicking.

The venue will be primarily composed of paintings and drawings. Additionally, works utilizing fabric swatches from Agnès b.—used to check colors, textures, and finishes before making clothes—will also be on display. Furthermore, Kawauchi Rikako will participate in Agnès b.'s artist T-shirt series, "T-shirts dʼartistes!," which has been cherished by Agnès b. since 1994, just like art pieces.
