Rintaro Fuse + Heijiro Yagi "The Book of Arena"

Artists

Rintaro Fuse, Heijiro Yagi
Rintaro Fuse and Heijiro Yagi have previously collaborated, with Yagi designing printed materials for exhibitions that Fuse conceptualized. However, this marks their first attempt at a joint creation. The title of this exhibition is derived from Jorge Luis Borges's novel, in which an infinite book with pages that disappear upon reading and can never be found again upon flipping is featured. This exhibition is a collaboration between Fuse, an artist who deals with words, including poetry and criticism, and Yagi, a designer who structures various words into designs on paper. Together, they reexamine the "book" as a space where words function from the perspectives of an artist and a designer.
