Michaël Borremans, Samson Young, Nao Tsuda, Hiroshi Sugimoto
In 2013, the Belgian artist Michael Borremans stayed at Ryosoku-in and created ink paintings. It has been ten years since his work "The Kuchinashi" was introduced at the tea rooms "Suigetsu-tei" and "Rinchi-tei" in 2014.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the exhibition that was the catalyst for the Ryosuku program, aimed at nurturing the wisdom and compassionate hearts of adults in contemporary society and enhancing the intelligence and sensibility of children who will lead the next generation, an exhibition has been planned. This exhibition brings together artworks created in the Ryosuku "Meditation Corridor" series.

The exhibition includes drawings created by sound artist Samson Young, who served as the representative for the Hong Kong Pavilion at the 2017 Venice Biennale, during his stay and production at Ryosoku-in in 2019. Additionally, photographs by Nao Tsuda, who has visited Ryosoku-in multiple times, and collaborated with Vice Head Priest Toryo Ito on calligraphy, will also be displayed.

During the exhibition period, the fusuma paintings and hanging scrolls in the Daishoin will feature artworks by Hiroshi Sugimoto titled "Hibi Kore Arahi."
