Shiga Ryota’s artwork deeply resonates with the individual sense of “now” in those who view the works, sometimes pointedly and sometimes warmly touching our hearts while quietly approaching nature and ordinary life. This exhibit features the cumulative works of Shiga over several years, which give shape to every day. Viewers will be able to feel how each day is of irreplaceable value in and of itself through Shiga’s worldview, as expressed in the Zen phrase “every day is a good day” (nichi-nichi-kore-koujitsu). Come experience the modest but undeniable beauty that resides in the quiet times.
