Saki Murakami Exhibition

Artists

Saki Murakami
The exhibition showcases the work of copperplate print artist Saki Murakami. According to Murakami, copperplate represents the heart. The copperplate prints, created through freehand brushstrokes, portray emotional wounds through intricate lines. And the use of densely filled ink is a representation of blood, while the paper used for printing is a healing bandage. These prints, often displaying intense and unsettling scenes, draw from the artist's personal memories and reflections on reality. The collection introduces a new artistic direction by incorporating elements from fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. The exhibition will consist of around five major copperplate prints and multiple smaller pieces.
