Artists

Sanae Takahata
This exhibition is dedicated to Sanae Takahata's beloved mother, who passed away in February at the age of 90. It will be held at the main building of "Rinkokaku," a nationally designated Important Cultural Property in Maebashi. The exhibition will feature 27 vivid three-dimensional artworks, as well as three new pieces (fabric with acrylic paint, created in 2024) depicting the spirit of her mother swimming towards the other shore. Additionally, it will include Conte drawings she created upon arriving in Paris in 1977 and tanka poems her mother composed until her dementia progressed, creating a landscape akin to paradise.
