Sanae Yasuda

Sanae Yasuda presented the "Goddess" and "Tarot - Major Arcana" series at Naruse Bijutsu-za in 2023. The Tarot works were featured in the June edition of Purposeful Mayonnais 3-1, based in Canada, and were selected for The starving artist's online exhibition "The Body Remembers" in August. The Goddess works were chosen for The starving artist's "Voices Above Water" exhibition in November. In December, they were exhibited at the Mango Art Festival 2023 Chiang Mai in Thailand, where they resonated with individuals of various nationalities, expanding their presence overseas.

This time, Yasuda will hold the exhibition "Earth and Fire: Motherhood Blooms." Motherhood, defined as nurturing regardless of gender, will be the focus. The exhibition will feature new paintings symbolizing earth and fire, represented by Discs, which signify abundance and health in the Tarot Minor Arcana, and Wands, representing passion and resilience. While humanity has developed using fire, its raging flames now threaten various places. Sanae Yasuda's solo exhibition questions how the nurturing earth can balance with fire.
