Satomi Kondo's exhibition highlights Kondo's emotionally stirring works that delve into Yamanba girl culture. Unlike Kondo's past works, this exhibition unveils the artist's personal connection to the subject. It explores the roots of Japan's avant-garde art by linking the New art movements in the Taisho period in the 1920s with the Yamanba Girl Movement. The exhibit showcases seven paintings and two woodblock prints portraying Yamanba girls in diverse styles from the 1920s, such as Futurism and Neo-primitivism.
