At Roll, we are pleased to present Satoru Koyama’s first solo photography exhibition in three years.
Entitled love letter, the show features 20 carefully selected works photographed by the artist during three district periods: one year from 2017 to 2018, six months in 2024, and in 2025. These photographs, taken from daily life, will be exhibited and available for purchase.
As he continued to make a living through photography, Koyama began to feel that something inside him no longer aligned with the act of taking pictures. One day, that feeling took-and from that moment, he found himself unable to take any photographs at all.
And yet, when his heart once again longed to photograph, what he was finally able to capture were the tender and beloved scenes that simply were there, waiting in the light.
