Saya Irie
This exhibition will be held in Saya Irie’s hometown of Okayama. Irie's unique technique is to rub out a two-dimensional image with an eraser and then use the eraser residue to recreate the same image in three dimensions.
Irie’s works ask humorously modern questions about the way people interact with images. This solo exhibition will exhibit works based on traditional narratives in sacred and secular works, as well as "From Carp to Five-headed Dragon Dust" drawn on a hanging scroll, and candy packaging designs.
