"Sleeping Tree" is a series of photographs taken on the island of Okinawa between 2016 and 2022. Taking as its starting point the landscape of the place where Uehara was born, raised, and still lives, the photographs quietly capture the complex fragments of time that are layered on top of each other in Okinawa.
