Shaun Tan
Shaun Tan is an Australian picture book artist who has gained popularity for his magical characters and unique worlds in works such as "Eric" and “Arrival." His precision drawings in pencil, pen, oil, and pastel are highly acclaimed around the world for their skill and artistry.

Among his works, "Arrival," a picture book without words, has won numerous awards around the world, including the Best Picture Award at the Angoulême International Cartoon Festival. It was also a hit in Japan, where it was heavily covered by local media.

This exhibition will feature 30 giclee works based on the original picture book illustrations, created by Tan himself in his Melbourne studio, along with the picture book and merchandise from which the prints were made. Some of the giclees were exhibited and sold at "The World of Shaun Tan: To Nowhere and Nowhere," which toured museums nationwide in 2019, but this exhibition will include 11 works on display for the first time in Japan.
