Purple presents Kanon, a solo exhibition celebrating the release of Shimpei Yamagami’s photobook. Building on Yamagami's previous monochromatic work on the sea and waves, this exhibition focuses on “butterflies” as a central theme, exploring elusive subjects. Kanon reflects on existential questions through images of butterflies, capturing the photographer’s contemplation of where we come from, who we are, and where we are going. Selected works from the photobook showcase Yamagami’s exploration of fleeting moments and deeper meanings.
