Shin Iguchi
Shin Iguchi creates a unique world using traditional Japanese painting techniques such as mineral pigments and foils on Japanese paper. He expresses the beauty and awe of nature and the brightness of life in the everyday by combining animal forms and other elements. Through his artwork, he aims to transcend age, gender, national borders, and other barriers and work on the underlying sense of beauty in human beings.

Iguchi's animals and trees are depicted in a variety of ways, sometimes filling the entire picture plane with a dignified presence, and sometimes blending in so well with the background that the viewer cannot tell the boundary between them and the background. Their expressions are always calm and serene as if they are protecting something important. Taking the energy and mystery of life as his theme, Iguchi's paintings combine strength and fragility with a delicate touch, expressing the beauty of nature that he pursues, mixed with the materiality characteristic of Japanese-style painting and his technique and sensibility.

This year marks exactly 10 years since his first solo exhibition, and Iguchi has chosen "circulation" as the theme for this exhibition. The main work, "Spring Breeze," is a delicate and beautiful work that depicts a deer with a divine impression and various flowers and grasses. The exhibition also includes his previous work on the theme of life, which takes viewers on a journey through the history of Shin Iguchi's career.
