Shinichiro Koromo
Using the townscape, mountains, and rural landscapes of Gunma, where he was born and raised, as a base, Shinichiro Koromo places various elements such as ancient tombs, haniwa figurines, people, and objects scattered throughout Gunma. By doing so, Koromo depicts the time and memories of the land, as well as his own accumulated memories, on the canvas. Intentionally mixing the perspectives of three-dimensionality and two-dimensionality, Koromo explores the foreground, background, and depth of the landscape.
