Tokyo International Gallery (Shinagawa, Tennoz) is pleased to present the solo exhibition “3/4oz and the Chocolate Factory” by Shinnosuke Tojo, opening on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Tojo's practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation, but consistently revolves around the question of “what it means to exist.” Rather than limiting his inquiry to what is physically present, he often turns his gaze toward “non-existent existences,” such as oneʼs own reflection in a mirror̶entities that lack substance yet compel introspection. Through the exercise of imagination, Tojo attempts to perceive his own invisible presence. Following his participation in the 2022 group exhibition Have you ever seen a ghost?, this will be his first solo exhibition at Tokyo International Gallery. Caught between the material reality of the world and his own transient self, Tojo invites viewers to step into a landscape of uncertainty.
