In the realm of infinite possibilities swirl the currents of the invisible river. This is where we dip our hands and carefully bring forth form by feeling the contours of the eddies. These nascent forms are like snapshots that we bring into this realm, from the unconscious into consciousness. Whether from the hands, eyes, or feet of a craftsperson, artist, or performer- and also the eyes and imagination of the viewer- the roots of creative expression originate in this rich, undefined, and vast realm. The tenth anniversary of the Terminal Kyoto’s Shitsurai exhibition celebrates the “Invisible River” through photography and craft, workshops, performances, and panel discussions.
