This exhibition and sales event is focused on the community of artists who have supported contemporary ceramics in Mino, a historic pottery-producing region, for nearly 40 years, titled "Soil Message Mino In Tokyo '24 - The Cutting Edge of Ceramic Tradition Being Handed Down." It will take place at Locul on the 5th floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku in Harajuku, Tokyo.

The Mino region in Gifu Prefecture, known for its long history of pottery production, has developed with its abundant soil and ceramic technology, enabling mass production. Today, the Mino region (including Tajimi City, Mizunami City, Toki City, and Kani City in Gifu Prefecture), which accounts for about 50% of ceramic production nationwide, encompasses various ceramics known as "Mino Ware," including representative Japanese ceramics such as Ki-Seto, Shino, Oribe, and Seto Black.

This exhibition will bring to light the spirit of pursuing the cutting edge that still exists today through the untold stories of ceramics. Artists from the "Soil Message In◯◯" (1989-1998), which emphasized thorough equality and equality as a collective principle, promoting individuality and group exhibitions, will exhibit alongside their students and juniors. The thoughts and traditions of active artists who have been walking with the International Ceramics Festival Mino for 40 years will emerge from various creations. Video works edited from interviews conducted during the research will also be exhibited at the venue.
