Somsoc Gallery, an artist unit and gallery operated by Kenbi Co., Ltd., will be hosting its unique art fair, "Somsoc Art Show 24S/S," from March 3rd (Sunday) to March 24th (Sunday), 2024, with a focus on collaboration with overseas art fairs. This will be the second edition following last year's event, featuring the participation of approximately 25 up-and-coming artists from various nationalities, ages, genres, and artistic styles, who will exhibit their new works.
"Somsoc Art Show 24S/S" aims not only to connect artists with art collectors but also to provide an opportunity for those unfamiliar with art to establish a "connection" where they can appreciate art based on their personal preferences rather than feeling lost. Additionally, this exhibition will serve as a preview for the international art fair that the gallery will participate in this year. Moving forward, Somsoc Gallery will use Harajuku as its base to showcase the East Asian art scene to the world.
On March 2nd (Saturday), there will be a pre-opening event for media and collectors (please note that participation by the general public is not permitted). On March 3rd (Sunday), an opening party will be held, open to the general public. Throughout the exhibition, various events will be organized, including a "New York Brooklyn Artist 0H10M1ke Portrait Event" and a dance performance by artist Tomoyuki Niki and contemporary dancer Mari Fujihira.
