Artists

Suzumi Noda
Suzumi Noda has been engaged in creative and presentational activities primarily in the fields of design and art since the 1980s. Since 2006, she has served as the director (currently an advisor) of the Kawashima Textile School. She has also played a significant role in mentoring future artists, holding positions such as a special professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design from 2012 to 2017 and a special professor at Kyoto City University of Arts from 2017 to 2022.

This exhibition, themed around "memorial services," offers an opportunity to glimpse into Noda's current work and the direction of her artistic vision through approximately 20 new and recent pieces that she has energetically produced both domestically and internationally.

It is worth noting that during the same period, Noda is also exhibiting her works at Gallery Parc and the same venue as Neutral's "Contemporary Textile Art Miniature Works - The Kyoto Vol. 3" (until February 3) and at the Kyoto National Museum in the exhibition "Masakazu Kobayashi and His Era - Beyond Fiber Art" (until March 10). We hope you have the chance to explore these exhibitions as well.
