In conjunction with Takashi Homma's solo exhibition "Improvisation" at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, the exhibition "Before 9pm" by Homma and Miyagiftoshi will be held.

The centerpiece of the "Improvisation" exhibition is " The Narcissistic City," a series of works in which a room is made into a pinhole camera, and the outside scenery is photographed using the camera obscura technique.

Using these works as a guide, Miyagi made a handmade pinhole camera and photographed Homma's portraits while engaging in a fragmented dialogue.

Miyagi also photographed Homma on the same night, using her as the subject in the latest work in his "Sanko" series of photographs, in which he records images by turning off all the lights and using long exposures in the room where the subject lives.

The time limit for the two works was one hour, from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., and the two works required long, drawn-out exposures to be completed.

In addition to exhibiting the two works shot on a late summer night and related works, as well as texts by Miyagi, Homma's latest book " Tokyo Olympia" and other related books will also be on sale.
