Artists

Takenori Hara
Takenori Hara, from Fukuoka, graduated in sculpture from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1962. Hara taught at several art universities and prep schools, considering the title "welder" as a reflection of Hara's identity, and was renowned for metal sculptures like "Sun in the Wall" and "Sun in the Water." Despite media acclaim in the 1960s, Hara chose not to sell works, focusing on art and teaching. Many students taught by Hara became prominent sculptors. After falling ill in 2002, Hara continued creating through drawings like "Sun in the Sand." This exhibition features sculptures, drawings, personal items, and new photographs of works taken in April 2024.
