Takeshi Kimura
Tezukayama Gallery hosts Takeshi Kimura's first solo exhibition titled "Deaf Voice" from July 5, 2024. Born in Tokyo in 1980 and studied at Tama Art University, Kimura is known for his site-specific sculptures showcased at various art festivals. Kimura's works, such as transforming a tennis court into a bathtub and creating a space with drifting boats, go beyond mere objects by inviting viewers to reflect on their backgrounds over time. The exhibition will explore Kimura's perspective on society and sculpture, focusing on how Kimura's generation uniquely interprets and preserves aspects of the past amidst societal changes.
