Takeshi Misumi
Takeshi Misumi was a talented manga artist known for the award-winning work "Murchi," which follows the adventures of two youngsters as they interact with a mysterious creature called "Murchi" that has a one-week lifespan when touched by humans. Unfortunately, Misumi tragically passed away at the young age of 34, the same year of the publication of this work. This exhibition, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Misumi's passing, features the artist's manga manuscripts, original illustrations for the picture book "Tenshi no Chiroru," and various paintings filled with fantastical motifs and vibrant colors. This is an opportunity to explore the imaginative world of an artist who appreciated the boundary between everyday life and the extraordinary.
