Takumi Suzuki
Takumi Suzuki graduated from the Japanese painting major of Tama Art University Graduate School, but he is not bound by genre and freely chooses themes, motifs, materials, brushwork, etc. to suit his own concept.
He captures the discomfort and gaps hidden in everyday life, the relationship between others and himself, and the desires in his heart, sometimes reckoning them as ugly things , but at the same time, he expresses the multifaceted nature of things that cannot be interpreted in a single way, such as the beauty and strength that he feels in them. These resonate with the subjective memories and experiences of the viewer, allowing each viewer to interpret the works in a variety of ways.
In recent years, he has explored and challenged himself with a variety of motifs and styles, but in this exhibition, he will also once again present works that express the discomfort in everyday life, returning to the artist’s original style. Please take this opportunity to see them.
