The impressions of color evoked by planes of color and the three-dimensional lines that separate them, the potential for varied perspectives drawn from the details and the whole—just as images appear and vanish between clouds and the people gazing upward, Taro Morimoto’s paintings may also be continuously generating a “chain of images” characterized by sharing and transcendence.This exhibition features works from the candle series resumed last year, pieces based on motifs such as flowers and birds that continue from the previous exhibition, as well as works created over the past few years while shifting through time and memory.
