Terrace Art is characterized by the fact that the artists themselves actually research the city of Shonan before creating their site-specific works. The artists pick up all the elements that Shonan has to offer from their own unique perspectives and express them in their artwork.
The artwork is displayed in easily visible aisles throughout the museum, making this a limited-time event that anyone can enjoy during a break from shopping.
The "Terrace Art Shonan Award," the first of its kind, is an open call for entries from the general public, with hundreds of artists submitting their work.
