This group exhibition curated by Jason Montinola features 11 contemporary artists from the Philippines and Malaysia. Montinola is one of the artists who participated in "2664km," a five-member exhibition of contemporary Filipino artists held at our gallery in 2016.

Paradise has long captivated the human imagination as an idyllic realm devoid of suffering, war, sickness, and death. In the age-old story of Adam and Eve's exile from the Garden of Eden, humanity's longing for a utopian existence prevails today. The concept of "paraisong lupa" or earthly paradise, prevalent in Filipino culture, seeks to imagine a world without negativity or strife, an abode of heavenly figures and gods. This profound theme is the focus of the art exhibition, "Terrestrial Paradise," hosted at Yod Gallery in Osaka, with a majority of Filipino artists and with representation by an Indonesian artist.

The exhibit delves into the nuances of this enigmatic notion of Eden or Shangri-La—on earth or beyond, personal or imagined.
