The last year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of train services in the Nihonkai (Japan Sea) area. The Nihonkai Jukan Line includes the Hokuriku Line, Shinetsu Line, Uetsu Line, and Ou Line, which are an often underestimated backbone of Japan's railway system. In this exhibition, we will look back into the 100-year history of the Nihonkai Jukan Line.
Each built line functions as "the Nihonkai Jukansen Line" for the purpose of being different from Hokuriku Line, Shinetsu Line, Uetsu Line, Ou Line each by unifying and introduces relation with each area how grew up as railway route forming frame of Japanese railway along with Tokaido, Tohoku route and each line and role that we carried out.
