Nobuhiko Utsumi's Pictorial Expression Laboratory perseveres, believing in the power of art to endure despite our tragedies and darkness. With the war in Ukraine going on for the past year, this year's theme is a prelude to the Poland Workshop that the laboratory is planning this summer. During modern and contemporary times, Polish people have lived through a harsh history. And now, facing the heavy challenge of traveling to Poland, where war is now threatening the neighboring country again, new trials and challenges unfold for the artists.
