The 26th Setsuryosha Firenze Prize Exhibition

Setsuryosha Museum of Art
Finished
The exhibition invites submissions to support creative activities through residencies in Florence, fostering the development of future artistic and cultural endeavors. To further this goal, in June 2014, the museum established a partnership with the National Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, a first for Japan. This partnership has strengthened our framework for nurturing young artists through international exchange facilitated by the Firenze Prize Exhibition.

This year, 245 submissions were received from across the country (with 232 works exhibited) from artists under 50 years old, working in figurative art. After a rigorous selection process, 40 works were chosen, including five prize-winning pieces.

The Firenze Prize Exhibition was initiated in 1999 by the late Kenichi Sasage, founder of Setsuryosha Museum of Art and Komeri Co., Ltd. Starting from the 21st exhibition, the newly established "Founder Kenichi Sasage Prize" has been awarded in his honor.
