Kyosai Kawanabe
At the age of 10, Kyosai, a student of the Surugadai Kano school under the master artist Towa Maemura, gained the nickname "demon of painting" because of Kyosai's remarkable talent. In this exhibition, you can view Kyosai's yokai paintings, which encompass demons, skeletons, and tengu. Additionally, the third gallery will host a special exhibition showcasing contemporary artists influenced by Kyosai.
