The Japanese Teacups

The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park
Finished
Yunomi teacups are the most familiar "pottery" to Japanese people. The existence of individual teacups and married couple's teacups, which are used in various aspects of daily life, such as at home and at the workplace, can be said to be a uniquely Japanese pottery culture. The skills and attention to detail of the master craftsmen and artists of the time are concentrated in these small vessels, which depict famous places and specialties from various regions of Japan using a wide variety of techniques.

This exhibition will explore the charm of Japanese teacups from the collection of the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park.
