Hakutei Shiratori
Kabuki script: An original character picture work written by Kantei-style calligrapher Hakutei Shiratori .
The story is written on several layers of Japanese paper as a playful visual expression, not bound by the framework of tradition.
The story is written on several layers of washi paper as a playful visual expression.
The work is thin, and the light transmitted through it stimulates the viewer's vision in three dimensions.
While it is a classical expression, it opens a new door to Edo culture,
the door to the culture of the Edo period.

In this exhibition, Japanese folk tales are brought to life in Kotei's worldview.
Please enjoy his works while feeling the three-dimensionality of the characters that seem to sway.
The exhibition also features ukiyoe paintings by popular artists from the late Edo period to the Meiji period, as well as a collection of works on the theme of yakusha-e (portrayals of actors).
The titles of Kabuki plays and other works will be displayed as paintings of characters, and will be displayed in the Tower Gallery on the 3rd floor of Tokyo Tower Foot Town.
The Tokyo Tower Foottown 3rd floor Tower Gallery will be decorated with these works.
