Tjibbe Hooghiemstra
Tibbe Hooghiemstra ( Tytsjerk, 1957 ) lives and works in the Netherlands and the Ireland.
He studied at the Minerva Art Academy ( BA ) in Groningen, the Netherlands and the Sint Lucas Academy ( MA ) in Ghent, Belgium. He has lectured at art academies in Great Britain, Ireland and the Netherlands.
In 1997 his work was exhibited in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and two years later the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen showed an overview. In 2008 his work was shown in the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin. His work is included in a number of private and public collections worldwide, including the Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum and the Rijks Museum in Amsterdam.
