Tomb of Emperor Nintoku and Modern Sakai

Since the Meiji period, the Imperial Household Agency has managed the Tomb of Emperor Nintoku and used its moat water for irrigation, creating a unique bond with Sakai. This exhibition explores this relationship and the tomb's ongoing protection, featuring documents from the Imperial Household Archives and local sources, with research from Kansai University and support from Sakai City.
