Toshihiko Ikeda and Yoshiaki Mokutani, artists of a shared generation, have both embraced copperplate engraving as their principal form of artistic communication. Yet, their depicted realms diverge dramatically in essence. Titled titled as Monophony/Polyphony, this striking interplay of expressions serves to unveil the inherent and multifaceted character of the copperplate engraving technique and the boundless possibilities for novel narratives that orchestrate from it, much like a symphony.
