Toshio Ohi, Yuki Nara
In the first second-generation exhibition by the renowned tea pottery family, the 11th-generation Ohi Chozaemon (Toshio Ohi) and his son, the next 12th-generation ceramic artist and architect, Yuki Nara, will unveil their latest works created after the Noto Peninsula earthquake disaster.

The Ohi Kiln suffered significant damage in the recent earthquake, with numerous works from both generations being damaged or destroyed. Despite this, the Ohi family has been dedicating their efforts to the restoration of damaged areas in the Ohi Museum and galleries in Kanazawa, as well as rebuilding workshops and restoring kilns. Despite such challenging circumstances, they continue their creative endeavors without extinguishing the flame of creation.

The 11th generation has created collages of fragments and pieces from many damaged works, while the 12th generation has produced the representative work "Bone Flower" using Noto Hiba wood as a prayer for reconstruction.

This exhibition marks the first joint exhibition by both generations, showcasing their latest works imbued with prayers for recovery.
