Hatsukaichi Art Gallery
Finished

Artists

Kenshi Mochida, Mayuko Nishimoto
Kenshi Mochida, who lost his sight in the 1950s, continues to create intricate clay sculptures through the guidance of touch and sound. Mayuko Nishimoto, an art instructor with years of dedication to welfare facilities, has relocated from Kanto to Hatsukaichi and now focuses on fabric-based sculptures. These two artists, each with a unique background, will be exhibiting together in Hatsukaichi. Mochida's work, inspired by the experience of "seeing through touch and sound," is showcased alongside Nishimoto's tactile fabric sculptures.
