Artists

Yayoi Kusama, Hisashi Momose, Saki Murakami
Renowned avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama (b. 1929), a leading figure in Japanese art, continues her energetic artistic activities even at the age of 94. Hisashi Momose (b. 1944), who works in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, has been creating flat works using materials such as washi paper and foil since the 1980s, establishing a vivid world of paintings where colors change beautifully. Copperplate printmaker Saki Murakami (b. 1992), who has her studio in her hometown of Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, expresses traumas from her memories and past experiences on copper plates.

This exhibition provides the opportunity to view prints by Yayoi Kusama and works painted on colored paper, oil paintings, and prints by Hisashi Momose, as well as large-scale prints by Saki Murakami.
