Artists

Tsuyoshi Matsuike
Tsuyoshi Matsuike is the founder and pattern designer of the Kyoto textile brand "uwaru," which primarily features patterns inspired by plants. Matsuike is responsible for all the patterns used by "uwaru." He meticulously moves his hands until he achieves the desired color and touch, repeatedly sketching with free imagination. His patterns, which are drawn with dynamic, sometimes unique, and delicate expressions, reflect the world of plants that he intertwines with his own life. In this exhibition, we will display framed original drawings that Matsuo has accumulated daily. Alongside the exhibition, a product fair featuring items from the same brand will be held.
