Tuan Mu
Tuan Mu is a visual artist and curator based in Taipei. As an artist, he uses technology and new media to reinterpret perceptions of the body, spatiality, and temporality within the cultural context of East Asia. His creative mediums include virtual reality, generative art, 3D animation, installation, and ink-wash painting. His works have been exhibited in various cities, including Taipei, Zurich, Athens, Krakow, Prato, and Beijing.

Attracted by Japanese culture, Tuan Mu participated in a two-month residency at Saruya Artist Residency in the spring of 2023. During his residency, he explored the natural and cultural landscapes around Mount Fuji and sought to combine Japan's spatial philosophy with virtual reality to create new virtual experiences. The exhibition title, "Mono," means "object" in Japanese, which reflects his starting point of contemplating the aesthetics of objects in Japanese culture and extending it to the virtual space. The exhibition will showcase his completed mixed reality piece and research processes during his residency.
