The exhibition “Unpeople" is a commemoration of the release of musician Shuta Hasunuma's new solo album “Unpeople" and will be a joint exhibition by the three artists, photographer Riku Ikeya and graphic designer Seri Tanaka.

The production of artwork by the three collaborators began in September 2022 as a project for the release of Hasunuma's distribution single.

For this exhibition, Tanaka was inspired by the album title “Unpeople," which evokes the absence of human presence, and by the image of a person who does not exist but leaves behind signs that a person might have existed.

Ikeya captured the environmental changes that occur around the window of a room during a certain time of day. This could be described as a practice of capturing time changes in the same place from multiple angles, similar to Hasunuma's life's work of field recording.

This exhibition tells the story of "unpeople" through photographs by Ikeya, which will be included as artwork for the album, a spatial composition by Tanaka, and a sound piece by Hasunuma that examines the relationship between place and time through sound. Through the connection of the media of fragmented sound and photography, viewers will feel the absence of humans and find their position, creating a perspective on the environment created by humans and the outside of it.

Post will pre-sell "Special Edition Unpeople LP Box" before its general release.
