Katsuhiro Yamaguchi

This work attempts to fuse architecture with video images projected onto the sand laid over the body of the work, which is reminiscent of an architectural structure. The fact that Katsuhiro Yamaguchi was producing advanced experimental works at a time when projection-type LCD projectors were not as widely used as they are today can be said to be the reason why he is called the originator of Japanese media art.

This exhibition will also include archival materials from the Katsuhiro Yamaguchi exhibition "On Video Image and Architecture."
